DETROIT — Detroit’s youth showed its presence once again as Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller scored the Red Wings first two goals en route to a 3-1 win over Chicago in game three of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Pavel Datsyuk added a third period goal and Jimmy Howard had 39 saves. The Red Wings take a 2-1 series lead after Monday night’s victory.
Nyquist, a former Grand Rapids Griffin, tallied his second goal of the playoffs.
Detroit will host Chicago in Game 4 at Joe Louis Arena on Thursday, May 23rd. Game time is slated for 8pm.
