GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Warm, humid conditions will continue throughout the day Monday, with the threat of severe thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening.
A warm front lifting through the region triggered a few isolated showers in the morning, with a more widespread threat of storms in the afternoon. High temperatures will climb back into at least the mid-80s in most locations.
As the map above indicates, all of lower Michigan has a slight risk of seeing severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with the greatest threat coming from potentially damaging straight-line winds.
Periods of showers and storms are likely to continue into the middle of the week as a slow-moving upper-level system moves into the Great Lakes.
