SPRINGFIELD, Mich. – The Springfield Department of Public Safety says a man who wandered away from an assisted living facility has been found safe.
Around 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jimmy Niles was spotted sitting in the entrance to a business at the corner of West Dickman and Base Avenue.
Police say Niles was conscious and alert, but he was taken to Bronson Battle Creek as a precaution.
Staff at Care Community in Calhoun County called police early Monday morning to report that resident Jimmy Niles had walked away from the facility Sunday evening.
Niles is 63 years old and has dementia and epilepsy.
