GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Grandville City Council Member Randy Gelderloos has announced his candidacy for Mayor of Grandville.

He said that issues dealing with the quality of life are important to him, and that he is running to continue to protect and enhance Grandville’s parks, schools and library in order to provide children with safe places to play and learn.

Gelderloos said that it is important to manage assets closely, provide quality services to residents, and to keep Grandville an affordable place to live. He said he also looks forward to using available economic tools to attract and keep businesses in the community.

In a news release, Gelderloos said that as mayor, he plans to serve Grandville residents “with the same dedication, integrity and common sense” that he provided as a city councilman. He also thanked Mayor Jim Buck for his 29 years as mayor and his commitment to Grandville.
