ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. — The Michigan State Police have arrested a Weidman man for for possession of child sexually abusive materials.

Troopers from MSP’s Mount Pleasant Post arrested the 22-year-old Monday.

The investigation began in April when a parent contacted the MSP Mount Pleasant Post and told troopers that one of the Weidman man’s co-workers had alerted the parent that the man was showing homemade sex videos at his place of business. The videos portrayed  the man engaged in sex acts with the parent’s minor child.

Troopers raided the business in April and seized digital media evidence from the suspect. The investigation continued and on May 9 the Isabella County Trial Court issued an arrest warrant for the Weidman man for possession of child sexually abusive materials and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The man was arrested Monday and is being held in the Isabella County Jail with bond set at $80,000. He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.

The incident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
