KENT COUNTY, Mich. – The Kent County Sheriff’s Department along with Rockford Ambulance and the Plainfield Fire Department responded to a car versus motorcycle crash.
It happened at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Northland Drive and Kuttshill Drive NE.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says 75-year-old Roger Blanker of Grand Rapids was hit by a Rockford woman who was attempting to turn her SUV.
Blanker was not wearing a helmet and received serious injuries to his head and legs after being thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Spectrum Hospital where he later died according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
