GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Once Latrice Maze was killed, Grand Rapids Police believe her body was deposited into a dumpster and later incinerated.
According to Grand Rapids Police Chief Kevin Belk, the dumpster was then emptied twice since Latrice’s disappearance. The particular dumpster is later emptied into an incinerator, which would mean all evidence of the body is gone.
Chief Belk believes the body was not cut into separate parts.
The location of the dumpster is not being released and police have no plans to search landfills.
During a March 19 domestic call, police offered Latrice a ride to a shelter, but she declined because she felt her safety was not being threatened.
Police searched the home at 47 Burton on March 21 and found no evidence of any crime.
The investigation later revealed Jahleel Hoskins as the suspect.
