GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– The Blue Bridge will close for most of the Summer for enhancement work.
The Downtown Development Authority is currently collecting bids from construction agencies who will be doing the work; work that will include safety, lighting and other enhancements to the bridge.
Once bids are in place, the city engineers office will award a bid so construction can begin.
The estimated time work will start is June. It’s expected to reopen before ArtPrize.
