BLUE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person died and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a car-motorcycle crash Tuesday night in northern Muskegon County.
The fatality was identified as Christopher Davis, 27, of Twin Lake.
The crash occurred at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday at White Lake Drive and Carmen Avenue in Blue Lake Township. Investigation by Michigan State Police showed Davis, on the motorcycle with a passenger westbound on White Lake Drive, struck a eastbound Chevrolet Impala driven by Tabatha Morrison, 32, also of Twin Lake.
Davis’s passenger was treated at Hackley Hospital and is expected to recover. Morrison’s 11-year-old daughter, who was in the car, was also treated at local hospital and is expected to recover.
A statement from MSP said that speed, alcohol, and use of narcotics were all factors in the crash.
The roadway was closed for about three hours.
