GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Former First Lady Laura Bush will be the keynote speaker as Davenport University presents the 2013 Peter C. Cook Excellence in Business Award to well-known community leader Michael J. Jandernoa on Friday.
It will be held at DeVos Place with a reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Former First Lady Laura Bush will take the stage at 8:00 p.m.
The annual gala raises funds for student scholarships at Davenport University, and this year’s event has attracted record attendance, with more than 900 people registered to attend.
