GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Get the bait ready, fishing season starts today.
Several seasons start today including statewide trout, Lower Peninsula inland walleye, northern pike, and musky. The immediate catch and release season also starts today.
If you are planning on going up north to fish; be careful seasons in the Upper Peninsula do not start until May 15th. You will need to buy a new tag to fish for muskies this year and your fishing license for this year, it’s good until March 31st, 2014.
