THREE RIVERS, Mich. – Police in Three Rivers are investigating after an armed robbery Tuesday night at the BP gas station on West Michigan Avenue in Three Rivers.
The gas station clerk was forced at gunpoint into a storage room, while the suspect robbed the store and stole the clerk’s car.
Police say the suspect came in with a gun, and tied up the clerk’s hands and legs, before taking off with money and the clerk’s vehicle.
Officers later found the man on an Indiana toll road and pursued him into Illinois. The suspect later abandoned the car in the city of Chicago and took off on foot. Multiple agencies are now searching for him.
