GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Construction for the Monument and Veterans Memorial Parks is set to start this summer.
Part of the $3 million plan includes moving the Civil War monument, planting trees, and adding a commemorative walk.
The parks are located at Fulton and Division, and the Downtown Development Authority’s Environment Action Group approved more than $800,000 for the project.
