WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — As area rivers and streams continue to be at or near bankful, it appears more heavy rain is on the way, and this could create even bigger problems with flooding later this week.
This image from our in-house computer model shows expected rainfall amounts through Thursday afternoon. As you can see, some areas will end up with well over two inches of not-so-needed rain.
In Grand Rapids, the total rain for April so far has been 5.07″, which is 3.31″ above normal. Muskegon’s total of 4.14″ is 2.59″ above normal.
In addition to the heavy rain, there is a chance of severe weather as well on Thursday. For the latest forecast anytime, join us on FOX 17 News or visit http://www.fox17online.com/weather
