HOLLAND, Mich. — A man still wanted in connection with a sweeping federal indictment involving the Holland Latin Kings is now under arrest.

Family members say Uvaldo Ruiz turned himself into authorities Tuesday afternoon.

His mom tells FOX 17 she helped to drive him to the federal courthouse in order to drop him off.

She had tears in her eyes when she explained that he was now in the hands of authorities.

The US Marshals Office confirms that Ruiz did turn himself in at around 4:40 pm.

The majority of the other men involved in the indictment had been picked up about two months ago in a massive sweep that involved the federal government.

A United States federal investigation is ongoing involving members of the Holland-area Latin Kings.

Federal charges against others arrested include racketeering, drug trafficking and weapons violations.

Jose Hernandez is the last member of the group that was named in the original indictment that is still on the loose.

In a previous release, authorities said Hernandez may have fled Holland for Texas.

Anyone who has information on Hernandez is asked to contact their local 9-1-1, or the Ottawa County Silent Observer at 1.887.88.SILENT.
