2-Suspects In Custody After Robbing A KFC Restaurant In Early April

Simmons Talor KFC MugGRAND RAPIDS,Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff Department arrested two men in connection to the KFC robbery that occurred at 4040 Plainfield Ave NE on April 6, 2013.  The Mount Pleasant Police Department assisted Kent County Sheriff Department with a search warrant in their city, resulting in the arrest of Ronnie Taylor.

Through additional investigation a second suspect, Leonardo Simmons, was identified and arrested.

The two were arraigned on the following charges:

 

Ronnie Odell Taylor, 44, of Mount Pleasant:

1:  Robbery – Armed

2:  Conspiracy to Robbery – Armed

3:  Weapons – Felony Firearm

4:  Weapons – Felony Firearm

5:  Weapons – possession by felon; habitual 4th

 Leonardo Simmons, 29, of Grand Rapids:

1:  Robbery – Armed

2:  Robbery – Armed

3:  Conspiracy to Robbery – Armed Habitual Fourth.

Both subjects are currently lodged at the Kent County Correctional Facility on a $250,000 C/S bond
