More Rain Coming To West Michigan

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — While most of the day Monday was dry and warm (the warmest temperatures in over four months), more rain is returning Monday night.

This image from our in-house computer model shows the forecast rainfall amounts by morning. There is a chance of some thunderstorms as well. The highest amounts should be along and south of I-94, where some areas could get close to two inches of rain.

Of course, this rain is not necessarily good news. Many of the area rivers are above flood stage and just now starting to recede. Tonight’s rain, coupled with more on the way Wednesday night and Thursday, will only exacerbate the situation. For the latest on the river flooding, click HERE. FOX 17 will have a LIVE report from the Grand River tonight at 5 & 6.
