GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — An apartment complex is joining forces with a variety of local rescue organizations to give animals a forever home.
Old Orchard Apartments is hosting the adoption event Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the clubhouse. The complex is located at 936 Four Mile NW, and is pet friendly. Along with the adoption event, residents can get 50 percent off pet fees until April 7.
The Humane Society of West Michigan, Crash’s Landing, Carol’s Ferals, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Green Paws Unlimited will all bring animals who are in need of adoption. There will also be a doggy kissing booth, an opportunity to get your pet’s nails clipped, and treats for both humans and pets. If you come but don’t adopt a pet, you can still bring a picture of your own pet for a raffle, to win a pet-friendly prize.
