ferris snow bankBIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Robert Joseph Calangelo of Saginaw, is scheduled to be arraigned later this month on the charge of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.

On February 15th, Nicholas Suttles was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, for extreme hypothermia and an irregular heartbeat.

Investigators say, Suttles was drinking at a party where alcohol was supplied by Calangelo.  When Suttles tried to walk home at about 12:30 a.m. to his on-campus housing, he fell into a ditch Then passed out while intoxicated.

When students found Suttles the next morning, he has wearing nothing but a t-shirt and jeans while partially covered in snow and “appeared frozen”  The students say he was not breathing, had no pulse and was unresponsive.

Medics were able to stabilize him and get him to Mecosta County Medical Center, before being flown to Grand Rapids, where he remained in critical condition for weeks.

Suttles has been recently released from the hospital.  To this day, he can not remember the party or passing out.
