Spectrum Health Uses Social Media to Spread Word about Transplants

spectrum health google plus.jpegGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spectrum Health will host a Google+ Hangout today for people who want to learn about blood and bone marrow transplants.

Those interested in the hangout only need to visit Spectrum’s G+ page, where a video will show up at 10 a.m. as a post. Simply click the play button to start watching.

Included in the hangout is Kevin, a 34-year-old patient who will receive his bone marrow transplant shortly after the hangout, as well as representatives from Be the Match and Michigan Blood.

A Google+ account isn’t needed to watch the video, but anyone who would like to ask questions needs to have an account.
