Police Search For Man Who Robbed Burger King At Gunpoint

BATTLE CREEK — A man armed with a gun robbed two restaurant employees early Tuesday morning.

Police in Battle Creek were called to Burger King on Capital Avenue SW at 3:01 a.m. Tuesday morning for a robbery of a fast food restaurant’s employees of over a thousand dollars.

Employees told officers they were closing the business and looked into the parking lot before leaving the building.  But as they walked to their vehicles, one of the female emloyees said a man ran at them, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun in the face of one of the employees and demanded money.

When he was given the bank deposit bag, the man asked, “is that all?”  He then ran down Grandview Court when the two female employees heard a loud car start and drive away.

The robber was described as hispanic male, 6’2, 150 pounds between 23 and 36 years old.  He was wearing a black “beanie” style cap, a blue bandana over the lower half of his face, a light blue coat ,with dark blue or black sleeves and possibly blue jeans.
