A Wet Start To Easter Sunday

Posted

(WEST MICHIGAN) — Rain showers are moving across West Michigan this morning. Light rain stretches from the Lakeshore to Jackson with the heaviest rain currently in the Muskegon, Grand Haven and Ravenna areas. Rain will continue to move to the east through the morning and come to a gradual end by late morning hours. With the current track of the rain, the far western extent should be out of West Michigan by 8 or 9 in the morning.

There is some chance for some light sprinkles to continue through the early morning but the heaviest rains should end by late morning. By early afternoon the cold front will swing through whipping winds up out of the north. Winds could gust in excess of 25 miles per hour through the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will steadily fall behind the cold front allowing for snow chances Sunday night. Snow chances will continue for the first half of the work week before temperatures gradually level out midweek.
