PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich – A man was found along US 131 Saturday afternoon around 4pm on fire. A witness stopped when he saw the man on fire and threw dirt on him to get the fire out.
The subject sustained burns to 100 percent of his body and died a short time after arriving at the hospital.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, the male is from out of state and his name is being withheld.
Michigan State Police and Kent County Sheriffs’ are still investigating the cause of the fire.
