JIANGSHAN, China – You can see in this surveillance video why a Chinese bus driver is being called a hero.
The driver was behind the wheel of a bus carrying 26 passengers when a collapsed lamp post smashed through the windshield.
He was hit and his spleen ruptured, but he still managed to avoid another catastrophe by steering the bus to the side of the road and slowing it down.
The bus stopped once it hit a guardrail.
The driver was taken to the hospital to get treated for the ruptured spleen.
