Home Owner Arrives Home As Robbery Suspect Is Leaving Out His Front Door

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A Kent county homeowner returned home Monday to watch a man who just got done burglarizing his home, making his way out the home’s front door.

According to a press release from the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, The home owner came home to find his garage door open and a large amount of the his property had been piled up in preparation to be stolen.

After the suspect was seen by the homeowner, he fled.  Deputies arrived at the scene a short time later and began to secure the area.  The suspect was quickly located in a wooded area and a foot pursuit ensued.  The suspect was taken into custody by the perusing Deputy.

Additional evidence located on the suspect, linked him to other home invasions in Kent County.  These cases are now being investigated.

A search warrant for the suspect’s residence provided additional evidence of other burglaries.

Edward Murray was charged with the home invasion in the first degree.
