MUSKEGON, Mich. – A man has been charged in a Muskegon shooting that left another man hospitalized.
Billy Wes Maybanks, 25, allegedly shot Justin Jemal Jackson, 22, in the abdomen on Feb. 9.
On Tuesday, Maybanks was arraigned and charged with assault with intent to murder. He was also charged with one count of felony firearm and being a second-time offender, according to Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor, Tim Maat.
Police said Jackson was shot outside in the 1200 block of Evanston Avenue.
As of Tuesday, it was unclear if Jackson had been released from the hospital.
