OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. – A head on collision that took place in Ottawa County Thursday morning has left two people injured.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Mark Jones, 37, of Grand Haven was driving in a Jeep Wrangler on southbound Butternut Drive when he hit a patch of ice and lost control. His car crossed the center line and struck another driver head on.
When officials arrived on the scene they found Jones had only minor injuries from the incident.
Joseph Firlit, 48, of Port Sheldon Township, was the driver of the other vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to Holland Hospital for non life threatening injuries.
