Investigation Begins After Morning House Fire

KALAMAZOO, Mich — There are no known injuries after an early-morning fire at a vacant home in Kalamazoo. Public safety officers responded to a call around 6:30 Tuesday morning, in the area of March and Washington Streets in the Edison neighborhood.

There was heavy smoke coming from the roof, but they were able to get the fire out by 8 a.m. There did not appear to be anyone inside when it happened, and fire marshall is investigating a cause, according to a release.
