KENT CITY, Mich. – A Kent ISD Special Education bus was involved in a crash near Casnovia Tuesday.
FOX 17 News is told that the bus, which had four people on board, ran into some heavy fog along Apple Avenue near Canada Road.
While the bus was attempting to cross the intersection, a pickup truck heading southbound on Canada Road was unable to see the school bus and collided with the rear-end of the bus.
The driver of the school bus was able to maintain control for about 100-feet following the collision, but eventually lost control, causing the bus to overturn in a nearby ditch.
Everyone on board the school bus was wearing safety belts. None of them were hurt.
Extensive damage was done to the pick-up truck. The driver was not hurt.
