GRANDVILLE, Mich. – A Grandville resident is recovering from serious burns after a house fire early this morning.
It happened around 5:00 a.m. at 2491 Watercrest Court.
Flames were pouring out of the home when firefighters first arrived on scene, forcing them to use a defense approach.
Several units from the Wyoming Fire Department also assisted at the scene. It took about 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
Two people were inside the home when the fire took place. Both were able to escape, but one of them suffered serious burns and was transported by LIFE EMS to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital for treatment.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released, nor their exact condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The home is a total loss.
