COLDWATER, Mich.- Officers with the Coldwater Police Department said a man from Union County was arrested for an attempted abduction.
It happened Friday evening at the McDonald’s restaurant on East Chicago Street.
Investigators said the suspect tried to abduct two 8-year-old girls but customers jumped in to stop him.
The 35-year-old man ran away but was quickly caught. He was taken to the Branch County Jail.
The children were not injured.
