Hero Bus Drivers To Be Honored

KALAMAZOO, Mich.-  The Red Cross of Greater Kalamazoo along with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety plan to honor two Metro Transit bus drivers who helped save a woman’s life.

Red Cross leaders said drivers Debby Kerr and Donna Wright gave CPR to a passenger having heart problems on December 14, 2012. They said Wright and Kerr placed the woman on the bus floor and administered CPR until emergency responders arrived.

The pair will be honored at the Kalamazoo City Council meeting Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at City Hall on 241 W. South Street. . They will be presented with a certificate of appreciation and a voucher for updated CPR training.
