Pauline Phillips, better known as Dear Abby has passed away.
The columnist died in Minnesota Wednesday after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
The first Dear Abby column appeared in 1956.
Phillips wrote the advice feature until 2000 when she and her daughter began to share the byline.
Dear Abby has appeared in more than 1,400 papers over the years.
Phillips was 94 years old.
