Man Sentenced In Grandville Murder

GRANDVILLE, Mich. – A man was sentenced Tuesday for second degree murder in the death of a Jason Arntz.

Daniel Chinchak, 21, was sentenced to 8 to 40 years for the homicide charge and 2-years for the felony firearms charge. The sentences will be served consecutively, not concurrently.

Arntz, 22, was found dead at Wimbledon apartments in July, 2012.

Neighbors told FOX 17 News that the murder happened during an altercation between the two men.

There were five people inside the home during the shooting, including a baby, who was not injured.
