EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — An accident between a semi and pickup truck injured six people, including one who had to be flown to the hospital due to the severity of the injuries.
It happened Monday shortly before 7:00 p.m. on 11 Mile near I-94 in southeast of Battle Creek. Police say a semi was pulling out of a truck stop, and a pickup truck with six people inside collided with it.
AeroMed was called to fly one of the victims.
Two people were in the semi at the time of the accident. Neither of them were injured.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
