Road Conditions Blamed for Morning Crash

KENT COUNTY,  Mich. – Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash Sunday morning.

It happened on 7 Mile Road near Courtland Drive NE around 11:20 a.m.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department said a van traveling eastbound on 7 Mile lost control while driving down a hill.

The driver hit a tree, police added.

Slippery road conditions was believed to be a contibuting factor in the crash.

Both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with very minor injuries.
