GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –The new year has just begun and Grand Rapids police already have several shootings to investigate.
A lieutenant with the department said, “It happens more than you think.”
Three shootings happened on the city’s southeast side Wednesday night, between 9:55 and 11:15.
Two were on Dickinson Street and another was on Beulah near Lafayette. One resident at the Beulah address said the home had at least six bullet holes.
FOX 17 reached out to residents’ at all three homes. All of them declined to share much information or speak on camera.
Police are trying to determine if the shootings are gang-related and if they’re related to one another.
Of course, they’re still looking into what led to a deadly shooting Saturday, which also took place on Dickinson Street. A second man was sent to the hospital in critical condition. Two other men were treated and released.
No injuries were reported from the shootings Wednesday night.
