Shooting in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — One person was killed and three others were hurt following a shooting  Saturday night.

It happened at 1249 Dickinson Street SE in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids Police said they discovered four victims were shot inside the residence.

Three of the victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Two of them suffered non-life threatening injuries, while a third person’s injuries were considered life-threatening.

Police said a fourth victim, Jason Cherry, 34, died at the scene.

There were three to four suspects involved in the shooting. The victims described them as young black males. One is described as a light skinned black male with a short afro, wearing a red bandana that covered his face and is between 5’5″ – 5’7.’ Another suspect is described as wearing all black and was between 6’0″-6’2.” Police said no other descriptions were given.

No motive has been determined and no suspects have been arrested.
