WHITEHALL, Mich. – James Koepke, 52, was arraigned in Muskegon County’s 60th District Court on Dec. 26 in connection to two armed robberies in Whitehall.
Koepke was charged with two counts of robbery. The first incident happened on Christmas Eve at the Admiral gas station in the 1000 block of Colby Street, and according to Whitehall police, the suspect took more than $200.
On Christmas night, Koepke returned to the store, demanding more money. He took the cash drawer after the clerk locked herself in the store’s office and called 911. Koepke was arrested a short time later and police recovered the drawer and money.
Koepke is expected back in court on Jan. 3.
