BARRY COUNTY, Mich. – A man who was allegedly driving on a suspended license left the roadway Wednesday and struck a tree. The passenger died.
Elvin Kizziar, 36, was driving the car east bound in Prairieville Township on Cressey Road east of Kane Road when he lost control. Snow may have been a factor.
The passenger, a 42-year-old woman from Plainwell was stuck inside the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Kizziar, also of Plainwell, sustained minor injuries.
He was arrested and is being held at the Barry County Jail on the charge of driving on a suspended license causing death.
The incident is under investigation.
