SPARTA, Mich — Firefighters in Kent County are trying to figure out what caused an overnight house fire in Sparta.
The home, on Fruit Ridge just north of 9 Mile on one of the May Farms, is a total loss. It started around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
Everyone who was inside at the time made it out safely without injuries. The Sparta Fire Department went to the scene to help the Alpine Fire Department put it all out.
