GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police are looking for a suspect who stole a woman’s purse Saturday night.
It happened around 10:10 p.m. at the Family Fare on Kalamazoo Avenue SE.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says a woman walking to her car was approached from behind.
Police say the suspect grabbed the purse the woman had over her shoulder and she fell to the ground.
Two witnesses attempted to chase down the suspect, but he got away.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his late teens to early twenties with long curly hair.
Police say he was wearing all black clothing including a waist length jacket and large framed black sunglasses.
