Police: Man Attempts To Lure Children Into Car

HOLLAND, Mich. – Police said a man approached two girls and tried to lure them into his car.

An 11-year-old and an 8-year-old reported that they were walking in the Meadow Lanes apartment complex as they were headed to school when a vehicle approached them.  They said the male driver asked them if the they knew his daughter. They told him they didn’t and continued their journey.

The driver later caught up to the girls as they approached the southwest side corner of 40th Street and Washington Avenue. This time when he approached the girls, he allegedly yelled at them to get into his car.

The girls took off running.

They describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, who is approximately 30 to 40 years old. They said he has black hair and spoke with an accent.

His vehicle is described as a grey or white four-door sedan, possibly a Honda.
