GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– The Grand Rapids Police Department confirms that they are investigating a homicide.
Captain Jeffrey Hertel with the detective unit says police received several calls from people who heard gunshots around 3:30 Thursday morning, in the area of the 700 block of Prince Street SE near Henry Avenue SE.
When police got to the scene, they found a man’s body in an alley.
Officers have blocked off an area of Henry Avenue SE, from Worden Street SE to Prince Street SE.
Captain Hertel says witnesses are cooperating and are being interviewed. However, there are no details of possible suspects.
The scene is not far from where a 47 year-old mother was shot and killed, Friday.
