SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. – New details have emerged in the Van Buren County accident that claimed the lives of three people, including two children under the age of five.
Brittney King, 24, of Bangor was the driver who was struck head-on when an F-150 truck attempted to pass another vehicle back in November. Although the driver of the pick-up truck, David Johnson, 32, was driving drunk that night and later charged with 2nd degree murder, it is now known that King, according to a medical examiners testimony in court Wednesday, had heroin and pain killers in her system.
Johnson is heading to trial.
