Search Warrant Leads to Drugs, Guns, Cash

GOBLES, Mich – After receiving a tip that someone was using and selling drugs, deputies with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant that led to meth, pot, firearms, and cash.

It all happened in the 400 block of S. State Street around 4:35 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies found methamphetamine and about a pound of marijuana. They also found several firearms including both shotguns and handguns. Under the civil forfeiture act, they also seized $501. A 46-year-old Gobles man and 39-year-old Gobles woman were in the home, and both face the same four charges:

  • Possession of meth
  • Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
  • Felony firearm
  • Maintaining a drug house

The suspects’ names have not been released pending their arraignment. They were taken to the Van Buren County Jail.
