BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Michael Honyoust, a man who was shot in the head while attempting to rob a convenience store, has died.
Honyoust, 28, died around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Honyoust went into Liberty Mart just before 3 p.m. on Dec. 3 armed with a knife and demanded money from a store clerk, according to police.
That clerk pulled out a gun and shot Honyoust in the head. Honyoust was then taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the clerk was not charged with anything.
BCPD said in a news release that they will wait on the autopsy results for an official cause of death.
At last check, no other aspects of the investigation have changed.
