Casey Cochran from Imperial Computer Solutions has some tips for people who are having problems with their computer hard drives. Just because your drive crashes doesn’t mean you’ve lost all your valuable files. If your drive is mechanically locked-up, trying pulling it out, placing it in a plastic bag, then putting it in the freezer. The cold might shrink the part that’s locking up the drive. There are also some programs you can buy online that may allow you to access a drive, which isn’t being recognized by your computer. Or, instead of trying to do it yourself, you can always seek professional help. Companies like Imperial Computer Solutions will only charge you if they can access the files you’re trying to restore. There’s no risk of spending money on the problem only to come up empty handed. Keep in mind, just because you’re having problems accessing your photos, videos, music or other files doesn’t mean they’re gone.
