A man was taken to the hospital after being struck Friday evening.
The Barry County Sheriff’s Department said it happened around 6:45 p.m. on West State Road, just west of Hammond Road in Rutland Township.
Police said the driver of the Chevrolet Venture mini-van was driving east on West State road when the bicyclist was struck from behind.
The man was knocked off the bike.
AeroMed was called in and the man was flown to Spectrum Health for treatment.
Police do not believe speed or alchohol were factors.
The victim’s condition is unknown.
