MUSKEGON, Mich. – A Reeths-Puffer High School student was struck by a car mirror, the drivers thought they hit a deer.
The 16-year-old girl was struck Monday morning standing near a bus stop when she was knocked down.
The girl was rushed to the hospital for surgery.
Police say a 42-year-old driver from Fruitland Township initially left the scene but returned after realizing a young girl was hit.
